Verna O. Canova Foundation

The Verna O. Canova Foundation was created on October 31, 2013 pursuant to the terms of the Verna O. Canova Trust. The foundation's emphasis and mission are to foster projects in health, education, human services and community affairs.

To fulfill its mission, the Foundation provides grants to tax exempt public charities primarily in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, the locale in which Mrs. Canova was born and resided during her entire lifetime.

Grants are made annually for capital projects and operating expenses based on the relative merit and need of the applicants as determined by the Foundation's directors.

Applicants should complete the companion application form and mail the same together with the noted enclosures to The Verna O. Canova Foundation, c/o Kristen Dean, 23 Summer Street, Cohasset, MA 02025. Applications must be postmarked by the end of February to be given consideration for a grant later that year.

The Directors anticipate being able to notify grant applicants of their decisions by the end of June.

All grant recipients will be required to agree to certain conditions regarding the charitable use of the grant and to submit a report on the disposition of the funds awarded.
