The Verna O. Canova Foundation was created on October 31, 2013 pursuant to the terms of the Verna O. Canova Trust. The foundation's emphasis and mission are to foster projects in health, education, human services and community affairs.

To fulfill its mission, the Foundation provides grants to tax exempt public charities primarily in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, the locale in which Mrs. Canova was born and resided during her entire lifetime.

Grants are made annually for capital projects and operating expenses based on the relative merit and need of the applicants as determined by the Foundation's directors.

Applications are accepted through online submission. Applicants should complete the full application by clicking on the link below during the open period. After the period closes no applications will be considered.

Successful applicants will be notified of their grant acceptance within 3-4 months after the application period closes.

All grant recipients will be required to agree to certain conditions regarding the charitable use of the grant. In addition, all grant recipients will be required to submit a report on the disposition of the funds awarded.
